Chloe Tesla

Hello everyone, I'm Chloé Tesla, I've been modeling for 11 years and I'm currently a naturopathy student.

I became vegan, for the animals, 8 years ago and it is one of the best decisions of my life. I communicate on a daily basis about this lifestyle (but not only that!) on my social networks, which also makes me a content creator.

Today, I dedicate a large part of my daily life to my various professional and non-professional activities.

Content creation is an important activity for me because it allows me to work in accordance with my values.

Indeed, on my networks, I only highlight products, brands, projects, services, initiatives, associations that are at least vegan, and, at best: fair trade and eco-responsible as well.

My eco-responsible commitment, I owe it to a trigger, an awareness: although having always been very sensitive, I owe my awareness to the documentary “Earthlings” (available on YouTube) which exposes animal exploitation to worldwide, whether for food, clothing, science (vivisection), entertainment…etc. This documentary had a great impact on me and it was thanks to it that I first became vegetarian before switching to a vegan lifestyle, free from any animal exploitation.

This first awareness then gave rise to several other awarenesses which pushed me to change my way of life according to my new knowledge and my deep values.

I like to compare this first awareness to a seed that never stops growing and which today gives rise to an ever-growing tree, because my other awarenesses are, like many other things, connected and linked.

In this sense, I am involved alongside several associations in France and abroad and through all types of actions (awareness raising, leaflets, demonstrations, blockades, etc.).

At the same time, I have always used my platforms (social networks) to give a little visibility to animals and promote veganism: a lifestyle that spares them, as much as possible.

The way I perceive the world around me and the way I interact with others has been strongly influenced by my personal discoveries, associated with my sensitivity, have deeply participated in my current vision of the world and the construction of my relationships.

Of course, being in constant evolution, I am inspired by everything I experience and discover on a daily basis, including from others.

The trip that had the most impact on me was my “move” to London! I lived in this beautiful city for over a year: The perfect place to become vegan (among other things!)

Since we're focusing on London... It was during this move, on September 10, 2013, that I decided to become vegan.

The city was already so open at the time (= “vegan friendly”) that I really had no excuse not to take the plunge.

I like to think that the desire to support noble causes is contagious. So if I had to give advice to those who haven't yet taken the plunge:

Regarding veganism (since it is the subject that is closest to my heart), my advice would be to try to focus on the victims rather than on your personal comfort, your taste pleasure or even your deep habits. But rest assured! We don't lose any of this, we just replace it!

In addition, making your plate vegan (for example, because veganism does not only concern food) has many other advantages, whether ecologically or even in terms of health (if the vegan diet is well studied, then led)

However, adopting a more ethical and responsible lifestyle is not a linear process;

Of course: Nobody is perfect!

On a personal level, it's easy for me to respect my values, but on a professional level (I model), I often do what I can and not always what I want.

I know there are many of us in this situation, society not being adapted to our ideals.

Luckily, creating content on social media allows me to choose the brands I want to work with.
